bible and tea pot

Everything I write, everything I do, everything I think, everything I am is colored by my belief that Jesus Christ is the Son of the Living God, that He came to earth clothed in human flesh, that He lived a blameless life, that He was nailed to a cross to pay the penalty for my sin, that He rose back to life in victory over death and the grave, and that He is now seated at the right hand of God the Father.

  • John 3:16

    — “For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.”
  • Romans 5:8

    — “But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.”
  • Romans 3:23-24

    — “…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God….”
  • Romans 6:23

    — “For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
  • 2 Corinthians 5:21

    — “He who knew no sin became sin for us, that we may be made the righteousness of God through Him.”
  • Romans 10:9-10

    — “…if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”
  • Romans 10:13

    — “…for Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

The important thing to remember is that none of us can ever earn our way to heaven. Salvation comes only by grace through faith. If you have never put your trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, I urge you to do so without delay. He promises to answer all who call upon His name.

Finished embellishing three more Christmas stockin Finished embellishing three more Christmas stockings so I’ll be ready for all the new grandbabies due this year (except for adding their names to the cuff). 👩‍🍼 For these, I found felt stockings at a local thrift shop, took them apart, sewed on a bunch of sequins, then hand-sewed them back together with a blanket stitch. 🪡 It gives them the same look and feel of the stockings I’ve stitched from scratch, but at a fraction of the cost — especially in terms of time commitment — which is a plus now that our family is growing at such an exponential rate! 📈 #flandersfamilytradition #christmasstockings #grandmahobbies #grandchildrenmakelifegrand

I love the old-school charm of hand-sewn sequins🪡 I’ve created such a big stash of these things over the years that now, whenever our family grows (by birth or marriage), all I have to do is add a name to the cuff. #feltstockings #hungbythechimneywithcare #flandersfamilytradition #itsbeginningtolookalotlikechristmas
